Die Bürgschaft

"Die Bürgschaft" is a political and lyrical film interpretation of Schillers lay. It is connected to the campaign "#aufstehen" which was created in the making of the film. Both projects want to raise awareness of the current refugee situation and call for more solidarity. The movie will be shown at film festivals and shall be integrated into the classroom afterwards.

We chose an unobtrusive design, basically desaturated with a little color and dirt added. The visual structure adumbrates a newspaper-look, since one intention is to throw light on the current political situation in our country. The combination with German lyric makes it a very poetic film that transports the virtues Schiller tried to convey in his old-fashioned language in a modern context. And so does the design.
